I'm Back!

Wow… I haven’t realized that I haven’t updated this for well about three months… well I have still been playing FFXI just forgot to update this every now and then. So I guess this will be mostly a big catch up update of what I have been doing.

Well let me start out with after September and the dynamis ls falling apart that I was running with I didn’t really have much motive for playing FFXI since I wasn’t real crazy about leveling my jobs and so on and so forth so I grabbed FFXIV which kind of felt like Chinese sweat shop XIV rather than a FF game which basically meant I got bored of that real fast because well there really wasn’t much game play imo to it. I mean all you did was craft maybe do a mission if you were the right level and hope you can find gear or items you were looking for. Basically yah it wasn’t fun but it wasn’t imo 100% crap the music and graphics were nice but other than that yah I wasn’t happy with the game maybe when they work the bugs out of it then it will be more fun since well it seems like it’s going back into development while people are playing it though not sure why people are still playing the game… any who that’s about it from FFXIV now back to what this blog was made for.

Well I’ll basically break this down into a short segment since well imo I haven’t done a whole lot in the game. First and foremost let’s talk about job levels which the version update came out about 3 weeks ago so now people are able to level their jobs up to 90 which I managed to get my WHM SCH and WAR to 90 I might take others up but for now this is what I’ve managed to get leveled along with SMN leveling up fairly fast since it was 42 now it’s 74 just a couple of more parties and a lot of skill ups. Next Missions since we finally got an ending to WotG mission story line. I will say the first fight that we had to do was easy Carste, Ander, Zera, and myself were kind of disappointed on the level of difficulty for the 2^nd to last fight for the expansion but it was fun to beat up the Ander clone. After that we had fun death time in Xarcabard [S] since it didn’t seem like we could run across the zone without agro but eventually we made it to the final point we were after. Then came the big finally which was kind of fun and had some nice new music for the second part of the fight. The fight was kind of harder than the first but that was because we did it the harder way and with only technically 4 people since carste was dual boxing ODF but ODF did manage to tank very well for quite a while the rest of the party was unweakening. After a few Zera and Ander deaths we managed to pull out a win for WotG and clamed a pretty nice ending and a final mission reward (Reward Picture Below). Well now I’ll talk about events which basically I’ve decided to get back into dynamis which means I’ve joined a new ls which is kind of interesting since they seem to do things quite differently than my old LS and not only that but I’ve gotten to come as my WAR for 2 of the runs rather than my normal mages which was a huge shock for me. I’ve also decided to put in my application for a Abyssea LS since that seems to be where all the new gear for jobs is now coming from which I would have to agree since well the few pieces that I’ve managed to snag have been fairly nice upgrades. And finally gear which hasn’t been a whole lot. I’ve managed to snag a few pieces of AF3+1 and there are a few pieces of un-upgraded AF3 but I won’t post those since well not nearly as important. Any who pics of the AF3+1 gear I’ve gotten are below oh and for giggles my three stoves from the x-miss event this year. Well hopefully I’ll end up updating this blog more then I have in the past probably won’t do 2 updates a week but maybe just do one update a week and make it more general rather than day broken. Well sorry for the kind of horrible week that I'm about to post but oh well what can you do when real life comes around and decided that things need to go for a turn to the worse.

I did manage to do a few things in game though. I managed to hit up a besieged for a few EXP and skill ups on my BLM on one day. I also managed to hit up dynamis on sunday which unfortunately was the last one my dynaims linkshell is going to run which kind of made me feel kind of down since I don't know what I'm going to do in game for events at the moment. Well we did manage to do Dynamis-Xacabard for our last run. I got to come as BLM which was kind of fun too since I never got to go as this job and I did manage to get alot of skill ups. On the down side for the run I only managed to snag a few coins and no relic armor which was kind of a downer. After the run our dynamis leader handed out the bank and I managed to get 300,000 gil and I also grabbed Reauland's Cut so I can give that to him when I see him. After that I also managed to get from him a HQ Wisket and a Sorc ring which was kind of cool. I also did some updates for my BLM.

Well today was a pretty strait forward day after the maint they did today. I managed to snag an abyssea party on my BLM and worked for a long time in that party but I managed to pull out a level 85 BLM which was really cool. I just wish that my skills were a little bit better then what they are –Blah. Oh well maybe I’ll get that to work later on.

Well going to make this a short entry today since I don’t remember a whole lot before dynamis. But dynamis tonight was kind of fun we went to qufim with 19 people and managed to get as far as we use to with less people. First thing I have to say is that it was quite a bit of fun doing this with a lower number group since well lets face it dynamis just isn’t the chalange it once use to be because of the 10 level increase and the event was planed for level 65s so with it being very difficult for players of that level and increasing 20 levels over the intended entry level it’s kind of easy. On a positive I managed to get my SCH relic belt finaly –Yay.- This belt is really awesome for the job with all of it’s great stat bonuses for the job which made me happy not to meantion it’s one of the few pieces of gear left in dynamis that is still really good compared to other gear that they have recently released for the job though the SCH stuff for the most part isn’t to impressive –Blah.- So durring the run because things were going too smothly our THFs Luna and Nolo thought it would be fun to bring massive amounts of mobs back to camp and by massive I mean for example each pull had 8+ monsters in it. Cool thing though is that we survived each wave. After doing that I did some Nyzul which was again kind of fun and really really easy compared to what it use to be. We went 4 times and managed to get 1 Askar body and 2 Goliard Bodies which basicly meant I got a Goliard body for my mages –Yay.- Which mostly means my WHM will have more haste then what it use to. Well kind of a short day today news wise mostly I spent my time working on my craft skill and managed to get my cooking to 80.5 which means 19.5 more skill levels left to go till I am caped on the craft. Other then that nothing interesting today sorry.

Well I managed to basicly get on for dynamis today which I got to go PLD for. It was a fun run in Tav again but no good drops this time around for anyone –Blah.- Well at least it could have been worse. Oh by the way congratulations floor on your new pair of WAR legs. And that just about does it for this entry maybe I’ll start doing more in game or do something else really cool but unfortunately lately I haven’t been much up for it. Well today I started work on my Shield skill and managed to cap it and got a little bit done on my club skill but the shield skill was the big one that made me happy since well that got me caped on the two important skills on my PLD which is a total win in my opinion. Well today is the day right before the update so I figured I would get my 10 merit points on any job and then save them for tomorrow. Well fortunately after I did some things that I found to keep my self intertained till I could find a party like besieged I managed to find a group pretty quick thanks to UV and came on my SAM. After I managed to get my 10 merit points I headed out for the day at least on my level 80s. After doing that I figured hey why not and started working on my 63 BLM trying to get that leveled up. After a long time of sitting around waiting for a party UV managed to save me again and had me opening boxes in abyssea on my BLM which was kind of cool. In the party I managed to get level 72 BLM which again was pretty cool even though it took forever and I don’t know if I will ever do another low level job in the zone again or not since well it kind of sucks for the first hour or so trying to get the stupid EXP to go up enough to be simi worth it.

Well today was the big update. First of all I figured I would do a besieged to skill up my newly leveled BLM which went alright but I didn't manage to cap -Blah.- After doing this I loged out and waited for the update to get done and let me say I was ½ way prepared for what SE did. First of all I managed to have my merits saved up –Yay.- and I talked to the NPC to start the quest. After starting the quest I ran down to port Jeuno to get my Kindred’s Seals only to find out that the NPC wanted Kindred’s Crests… So completely stupidfied I had to figure out what kindred’s crests were. Well it seems like it was a new thing that SE added to the game to screw with people so I tried teaming up a few different times to try and farm these up in a few different spots with no luck. Figuring it was time to take a break I went to besieged to get some skill ups and cap off my BLM magic skills. It kind of sucked in the zone because of the whole people farming crests so no one was there to fight in the event but I did manage to cap off my magic skills on my BLM. After doing that I teamed up with some LS members out in Mount Z. Here I managed to get 2/5 of my kindred’s crests. Well I guess I know what I’ll be doing for a while. On the plus side though I did manage to get my 4th merit in Stormsurge for my SCH –yay.-

Well I started out today with no luck looking for kindred’s crests with UV so I figured I would take a little break and try to get back to this later. Well after a little while Vepion contacted me and told me he was getting crests at a good rate at the old merit bird camp so I geared up my WHM and we both headed out that way. We managed to get 3 crests to drop in an hour which was kind of cool but I only managed to snag one putting me at 3/5 but vepion did manage to get all 5 of his so that made things somewhat worth it. Well time to get ready for dynamis.

Well dymanis was canceled due to update. So me and nolo from the ls headed up to sky to kill some mobs to see if we could get some crests to drop. In I think 3-4 hours we got 2 crests which was kind of horable. I couldn’t snag one of these so still at 3/5. So after they called it a night vepion managed to log back in and we both headed out to take care of the last two crests that I needed. After about another hour we got the last two crests that I needed not to meantion his PUPs level 81 and another merit point for me. So after we got done there I headed to jeuno to get my level cap increase done and dumped some merits into my last shield merit that I needed. So after doing that I headed out and killed a mob on my WHM and another one on my SCH to get both of them to 81 and called it a night.

Well… today I kind of took it easy I managed to find and do a besided on my WHM to cap Enhancing magic at least. After doing this I grabed my new spell for WHM Boost-VIT and learned this spell. After doing that I mostly ran around and got a few odds and ends like abyssites and so on. I also managed to finish up my WotG missions from this update which were kind of easy since well… all 5 of them were CS missions lol way to go SE make this update a useless one for missions.

Today was pretty basic for plans. Look for a party on SCH and level it to 85. I managed to find a party pretty fast to start with but it kind of sucked since people couldn’t follow directions and screwed the whole thing up. So I went AFK for a while to take care of some real life things today till later on tonight.

Well Mind managed to invite me to a group and we were rocking pretty well. I managed to snag my 85 SCH in this party –Yay.- which gave me some awesome new things to use like Refresh from my /RDM and my Water V nuke and my enmity +/- spells to play with. Well I know I’m going to need to rewrite some macros for this job since well things are getting kind of messed up I think I’m going to take out my /BLM situation things because lets face it as a SCH I’m never going to /BLM over /RDM now.

Well not a whole lot went on today. I loged in basically in time for dynamis and found the zone we were suppose to do was already taken –Blah.- So we opted for Tav which gave us some nice drops but in the long run nothing I needed –sigh.- Well again can’t get something every time but on another note my dynamis ls thinks it’s going to call it quits sometime in the future and I don’t know what I’m going to end up doing I guess I’ll figure that out later.
After dynamis I went with vepion to get the atmas you can get for compleating missions in the game and a lunar abyssite to activate them. Let me just say the one that we both got was really cool with a 5 tic refresh and 10% fast cast as well as a 12% movement speed. After that I managed to find a group on my WHM to do abyssea with and managed to knock that out to 83 which was cool since I managed to quest up my scroll of Cura II not to long ago but other then this not a whole lot going on this time around.

Well not a whole lot going on today I mostly worked on leveling up my WHM to 85 and getting skill ups in besieged. I couldn’t get the spell I wanted for my WHM for the price I wanted so I guess I’m going to have to wait it out and hope that someone puts one up that I will agree with the price.

Well I mostly screwed around today but I did manage to get a party on my BLM and level that from 72 to 74 just one more level to go till my EXP is not gimped in abyssea –Yay- I also managed to go and get some skill ups for BLM in besieged which was cool since that caped me off for my magic skills at least for my current level. After that I’ll need to get this job to 85 and find some way to make money so I can afford the spells that I’ll need –sigh.- Well that is about it for this update till next time take it easy.

Well I started out today doing a little bit of my Merc rank up which I managed to win the three mini games which was a total pain in the butt –Blah.- But on the bright side once I finish this quest I’ll be able to start getting new points for a new rank up. After doing this I headed back to the past to work on my sword trial. This trial was a lot nicer then the last two. I basically got over ½ way done on this trial in one earth day despite that the number was higher. So now I have 101 more Rafflesias to go till I’ll be done with my sword trial till the next update –Yay.-
After that I did 6 campaign Ops and got some more Allied notes and managed to buy an Iron Ram Hauberk for my PLD. After doing that I figured it was time to go AFK for a little while.

After I got back I managed to do an abyssea group again with lazylounge which I had to go WHM –Blah.- Well maybe some other time or group can get my PLD to 80. Well I managed to get another 10 merit points from doing this which I spent 9 of them on SAM for Overwhelm and I do have to say there is a noticeable difference in my WS power because of it. At least on the bright side I’m that much closer to finishing SAM merits –Yay.- and I guess I’ll call it a night since I need to get up early tomorrow –Blah.-

For the most part today I just kind of screwed around in game and didn't do anything major other then just taking it easy. But I Figured before I would go to bed tonight that I might as well finish up my Sword trial. So after finding a group we ran though the zone killing the mobs which I managed to get done with my sword trial before the end of the day –Yay.- Now all I need to do is finish up leveling my PLD –Blah.-

Well I headed off to Tav for dynamis today. It was an alright run couldn’t get past the Diabolos NPCs to fight the boss this time and I didn’t walk out of the zone with anything this time but oh well can’t win every time I guess. I did remember that my +1 COR hat was done today so I went to jeuno to pick that up after we got done and figured I would look for a party.

After doing dynamis I headed out to a abyssea party that Leo made to tank on my PLD it was kind of fun and I managed to knock out a few levels and get my PLD into the Perle gear which was awesome. Now if I could only find a good way to cap my shield skill the job would be golden.

Well I managed to find another abyssea group unfortunaly this one really sucked but I did knock out about 20K EXP on my PLD I just wish it wasn’t such a horrible party –Blah.- Well I’m getting PLD there slowly but at least it’s going in the right direction.

I figured today I would do a little bit of campaign on my PLD which was kind of fun the mobs are so easy now to tank in large groups on this job that it’s really a joke now. I think for the most part I probably could go AFK for short periods of time with out any problems as long as the mobs are melee mobs.

Well I did some more campaign on PLD today because well while waiting for a party invite to level this job I might as well get some kind of EXP. I managed to get to a couple of fights one which I pissed off luna because I was tanking the mobs outside the fort close to the gate and no one bothered to check where the mobs where but I figured screw it he seems to get pissed at everything that goes doesn’t go his way. On the bright side though my PLD made some real nice EXP numbers doing this.
After campaign I managed to find another abyssea group on my PLD which I went ahead and took. In this party I managed to get my PLD to level 80 –Yay.- Too bad the Time boxes weren’t droping –Blah.- But like I said at least I did managed to get PLD to 80 and after the run I went and turned in my sword to get my final product which made me happy.

Well first of all today I managed to get an abyssea party and caped my Sword skill as well as get my EXP buffer on PLD caped –Yay- only bad thing about this party is that I got no support other then a BRD I sware sometimes leaders for these things are compleat retards. So after I while I figured I had enough and left to go take a break.

After I got done with my break I managed to get some people together to redo my ASA legs. Getting to the zone was a little rough but once we got there things started to go smoothly. The fight seemed easier then it use to course that could have been just me. I do have to say thanks Ander, Carste, Zera, Inun, and Reau for helping me out with this fight. After the fight I headed to Jeuno to clame my prizes first was the random item key which gave me a joke of a belt with +1 DEX -5 ACC and +4% Haste Now if the ACC would have been a + that would of rocked and I would have had a Swift Belt +1 dispite how much of a pain it was to get. Any who NPCed that belt off and then made my new pants which I got the blitzers with +8% Movement Speed and -4% PDT which are really awesome since I don’t have W legs which will give me at least some kind of mini kiting legs for my PLD.
After doing this I got ready for dynamis Beau which for a change I wasn’t on WHM… I got to come as PLD which was really fun I kind of liked it especially since I hardly ever died on my PLD –Yay.- Another bright thing about this run is that I managed to get my NIN body –Yay.- So now I have 10 Sets of relic done and storable. Again thanks Inun for passing on the NIN body. So after the run I rest my lots for NQ Relic and was pretty happy with my self and called it a night.

Well I loged in today and noticed right off the bat that it was almost earthsday and since valk is unable to play at the moment I figured it would be a good time for me to get started on my PLD sword. So I headed out to Kuftal and asked a JP group if I could join and they were cool enough to let me join. So I ran around with them and managed to get my kills down from the starting 200 to 144 more to go so basicly I think I’ll need 2 more full sessions of Earthsday kills followed by a short one then I’ll get a yummy -5% Physical damage taken sword –Drools.-

After doing that I managed to get a hold of reau before he had to go to work and managed to get the craft item done for my +1 COR hat –Yay.- After he made the mat I hung out with him and did a few campaign battles while he showed me how good the sheep is for level 76 which was kind of impressing. After bidding reau fair well I figured I would make some Sheep jugs for him and inun since this week we have control of the area that has one of the major items needed to make this jug.

While sitting around in Whitegate for either another earthsday or an interesting shout I found one for a Thew Bomblet run so I figured why not. So I geared up my WHM and headed out to abyssea to fight the NM. The fights were kind of fun an on the positive side I managed to get a Thew for myself –Yay.- Now I’m trying to figure out if I should sell the thing or keep it and have a better SAM build. I’ll probably keep a hold of it more then likely. I ended up DCing though while other members were running back to jeuno to get more rocks so I guess this is SEs way of telling me to take a break till after I get done with the real life things I’m going to have to do later today.

Well after my real life things I loged on and geared up my PLD for some more earthsday fun killing cactuars. This time I managed to get down to 95 more kills left so over half way there which is awesome I just wish it would have been a full ally this time so we would of killed the mobs faster and probably would of gotten all 60 kills. Well like I said probably 2 more earthsdays till I’m done with this sword which would be awesome.

After doing this I managed to get an invite from Untouchablevoid for an Abyssea party and here’s the catch… I got to come as a DD! So I geared up my SAM/WAR yes you heard me I actually got to go /WAR too which is awesome. Well I managed to do this for a few hours knocking out another 10 merit points which finished off Store TP Merits for my SAM started Overwhelm and used my last 2 merit points on SCH Helix MACC/MAB. So all in all a very good day in my opinion got a lot done and that always helps.

Well I started out today working a little bit on my WHM club trial which I managed to get done –Yay.- But still my new club isn’t any better then any of my old clubs –Blah.- But the finished product will be totally worth it. After doing this it was getting close to earthsday which means… Yep geared up my PLD again to go kill more cactuars. So I headed on out and managed to find a group of people again. So Now I’m down to 54 more kills left till my Mini Hotcarl Sword –Yay.-
Well I went away for a while and managed to come back to do some more sword trials. This time I managed to knock down my number to 3… I wish I could of gotten those last three mobs but I think it’s because Guive was up and screwed us over. Any who I hope I can manage to get a group for the last three kills. Till then I’ll just look and see if I can find anything interesting going on.

Well quite some time later and I found a besieged to go to which managed to get me another sword level but other then that nothing special there. After that I headed out to kill my last three mobs unfortunately I run into a bit of a snag and killed one mob but got raped by 3 others that figured it would be fun killing me. Well after the death I ran back out there and managed to get my last two kills for my sword. So with trial done I headed back to Jeuno to get my reward and to get started on my next trial. Well that’s about it for today.

Well I started out today by knocking out another part of my trial since I’m not on 1228 which means that I got to kill 200 lizzards on earthsday or weather. So I managed to find a group and we killed quite a few mobs knocking me down to only needing 101 more lizards instead of the starting 200 probably would have been more if I didn’t agro 3 spiders and get separated from the group –Uggg.- But I think one more earthsday like that and I’ll be on my last trial for my sword –Yay.- Only problem though with this trial is that it only gives me +2 damage –Booo.-

Well after going AFK for a while and taking care of some real life things I came back just in time to do my trial on my Sword so I ran out to the zone and got into a group. This time I managed to get all 101 kills I needed to finish this trial so awesome since this lets me get ready for the last 250 monsters I need to kill for my trial 1229 and my awesome -8% PDT Sword –Yay.-
This caused me to cut it close to dynamis though but I managed to make it in time. So I geared up my WHM and got ready to cure the tank party again. This time we did Valkrum dunes which was ok. I’m kind of miffed that I couldn’t get the SCH hands since someone had to do lots on them at 65+ Free lots and I needed +40 to beable to +1 my set –Sigh…- But on a positive side we did manage to get two RDM -1 hats to drop. So yay for awesome Elash’s RDM and blah about the other one going to a junky RDM in the ls. And that was dynamis in a nutshell today.
After I got done with dynamis Vepion wanted to do an assault for some points which was ok. I geared up my SCH and headed on out. The only down side to this assault is that I ended up dead –Blah.- but at least I managed to get that last point for a merc assessment which will put me at Sergeant Major. Well that just about wraps up this session till next time.

Well today was kind of short on here. I started out today doing some more crafting which got me to 75 Cooking which in my opinion is cool especially since it makes me feel like I’m ¾ done with the craft at least number wise not cost or time wise –Blah.- After doing this I managed to work a bit on my guild points which was also cool since now I’m at 7.400ish guild points. After doing this I kind of took it easy for a while and did some real life things.

After I got back I joined up with my dynamis shell members and headed out to abyssea Konstant which was kind of cool since I mostly get stuck in Tarongi –Blah.- Well on the good side I managed to knock out a lot of my merit points 19 of them to be exact. Bad news is that I probably would have had more if I could of gone to go dump my merit points when I wanted too. Oh well. I mostly did the buff the party thing and helped narf out with the boxes which was kind of cool. So probably wondering what I decided to dump my 19 merits into? Well that’s about the only picture I got to take today so guess you guys get to see my SAM in progress. Other then that and grabing my WHM club to start on doing that weapon that’s about it for today

Well again a short day. Don’t know why I’ve been having a lot of these recently but all I did was work a bit on my cooking since I wasn’t sure where sandy would rank by Sunday and what zones it will own. I did manage to make it to 76.9 on my cooking so that made me happy at least for the little bit of time that I was on for today. Maybe tomorrow will be different.

Well today I loged in a little bit before dynamis. Tonight we managed to get Xarcabard which was awesome but the only down sided is that to stop a ls from sniping us we had to throw someone into the zone sooner then the rest of us could enter. It was an alright night we did manage to get three hard pieces to drop which helps move people along which as I said is awesome. I also managed to snag some goddies like a DRG helm and a extra COR hat which lets me +1 the one I got –yay.-
After dynamis I looked around for some coins since I needed them to get my +1 COR hat. Once I got all 29 coins I needed I headed to Whitegate to see if I could find an interesting shout while I was waiting for the crafted mat to show up on the AH. I managed to find a pickup group for Odin Prime which was cool since I wanted that earring he has for a reward. After a long time waiting around we managed to get enough people and headed out to do the odin fight. With a SMN the fight was so easy to do I think we were done in less the 5 mins. So with odin dead I managed to get my Earring and was happy about that. After doing that I noticed that there were mobs on the move for besieged so I grabbed my PLD and headed out that way to kick some lizards. Only down side is that I only managed to get 1 sword skill up –Ugggg.- I hope I can manage to get more then that soon if not I’m going to have to hope abyssea is going to be awesome and give me the skill ups I want for PLD. figured I would sit down for a little while and craft which I managed to get 78 cooking –Yay.- And then made my test item for my rank up now all I need are a few odds and ends to get cooking closer to cap. I’m still not looking forward to the 94ish craft item -Ugggg.- Well that just about wraps up this update.
